TWO RUPEES BREWING

A Clayton local favourite is Two Rupees Brewing who opened their Sri Lankan inspired taproom in 2019. With 8 taps pouring including 2 core range accompanied with a mix of limited releases, you’ll be sure to find a crowd favourite.

Owners Danny & Amila are childhood friends from Sri Lanka who found a love for great quality beer in their adult years. Visiting Two Rupees Brewing provides punters the opportunity to drink a great quality beer with friends while sitting up close and personal with the equipment it’s brewed in, all while listening to wonderful music from South Asia and eating the delightful Pan Rolls (a wonderful Sri Lankan street food).

As a brewery they have a history of focussing on doing simple beers well, whether it be the humble lager or stout, a hoppy WCIPA, or a fruity and pillowy NEIP.

Two Rupees have been spending time carefully crafting their bar to feature local and national spirits and various other beverages such as cider, non-alcoholic beer, and gluten free beer. Along with a small pizza menu they offer a range of small eats such as spicy calamari, pan rolls, fries, and churros.
