It was hopping amazing!
On Saturday 5 November, we ran our first Hop On Hop Off style tour, where guests got to choose their own adventure and visit up to 4 venues from a circuit of 7. With the autonomy to visit the venues they wanted, when they wanted as well as eat and taste what they felt like, guests had a great day exploring the Bayside Beer Belt.
The venues on this circuit included Bad Shepherd Brewing Co in Cheltenham, Braeside Brewing Co in Mordialloc, Saint Felix Distillery in Mordialloc, Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers in Braeside, Wolf of the Willows in Mordialloc, 2 Brothers Brewery in Moorabbin and Stomping Ground in Moorabbin. Armed with a bus timetable and a list of things happening at each venue, guests just Hopped Off and Hopped back on again when the bus looped around and they were ready to try another venue.
To celebrate the launch of this new tour service, we also surprised guests with a music duo – The Jackson Combo who joined us on the bus for two full loops – entertaining everyone with hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s in between stops. Everyone got into it and sang along, belting out the chorus’s and dancing in their seats. It definitely had that party bus feel about it!
With two train station pick-ups as well as the ability to be picked up from a nearby circuit brewery/ distillery, it was super easy for people from all over Victoria to join us. We had visitors from Mt Eliza, Gembrook and Warranwood as well as locals keen to check out what was in their neighbourhood!
A shout out to Adam from Victorian Bus Charters for working with us on this tour and making sure we ran on time and got everyone from point A to B,C,D,E,F & G.
All in all it was a great success and we can’t wait to run our next Hop On Hop Off tour on Saturday 3 December and many more in 2023!
