Port Phillip Distillery

A hidden gem in the industrial suburb of Moorabbin is the newest Belt member, Port Phillip Distillery. From humble beginnings, this gin brand now has its own distillery and place to call home. You are in for a treat with three signature gins as well as a vodka and unique mixers to sample.

Port Phillip gins are showcased at a local bar and favourite the “Gin Dispensary” in Beaumaris. Founders, Chris and Fiona decided to open their distillery in Moorabbin. The brand was established in 2020 with its distillery opening in late 2022. Chris and Fiona have invested in the very best still that’s available which is an ultramodern still with sustainability at the core of what it does. 

The three gins are individually distinctive in their own way and are multi-award winning for each of their categories. There is a London Dry, Modern Australian and Navy strength. Vodka is on the way as well. The names of the gins – Hells Bells, Insanity and Fiona’s Fury have a funny backstory, but to find out what it is, you’ll have to visit…
